Deadpool 2 – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So I saw this movie a few weeks ago but just haven’t really found the time to review it until now.  So here’s probably the last review of this movie you’ll see on the internet for a while hehe.  Anyways, non spoiler thoughts?  I think I like this movie better then the first one, but my reasoning is slightly biased as I’ll explain a bit more in this review.  If you liked the first film, you’ll love this one.  It’s just as funny, has more characters, and has a more interesting story to it.  So now that that’s done, leggo!  SPOILER WARNING as per usual.

Ranking the Most Anticipated Comic Book Movies of 2018

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So it’s been tradition for three years now to rank the movies I’m in most anticipation for in the upcoming year.  This year’s no different.  This year is really interesting.  While most of the films this year seems to be pretty much trash, there are some gems in there.  And these gems are huge!  So, leggo! Top 10 Favorite LGBT Characters – Pride Month Special

Hello interweb, Nate here!  My first Pride Month special!  I’ve always meant to do one of these but every time I found the time to do one Pride Month was over and I didn’t really want to do a Pride Month special if it wasn’t during Pride.  I also wanted to get this out on the 26th since that marked the second anniversary of gay marriage being legalized in all 50 states in America, but I got busy on a Youth retreat and thus didn’t have the time to complete this.  Maybe in future years I’ll be able to create a tradition of releasing a Pride special every year on June 26th but don’t get your hopes up.  Enough beating around the bush, this list consists of my Top 10 Favorite characters in comics or comic book adaptations that identify as LGBT.  Leggo!

Do we Want More R-Rated Superhero Movies? – Discussion

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So I recently decided to clean up my blog a little.  The categories that I put all my posts in where kinda everywhere and I had a lot of random old junk posts that weren’t doing anything but making this place cluttery.  So I deleted a lot of old posts that nobody was reading (mostly because they where old and dumb) and reorganized the categories a bit.  This has little to do with this actual post but I did want to introduce a semi-new category: discussions!  These posts are meant to do exactly what it says.  I bring up a topic, briefly (or as briefly as possible) give my current opinions on the topic, and let you guys comment below with your thoughts and maybe we can have a little dialogue over it.  It doesn’t necessarily have to be a long drawn-out conversation either.  I respond to all comments I get on this blog so if you decide to leave a comment below and I respond you can decide for yourself whether to continue the conversation or not!  With all that said and done, let’s get this idea off the ground! My opinion on Pansexual Deadpool in Deadpool 2 and Young Justice possible LGBT characters

screenshot-2017-01-07-18-19-33Hello interweb, Nate here!  Yeesh, first my last post and now this.  This blog is getting too gay!  All jokes aside, quite recently Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds suggested that he would be hopeful for Deadpool to get a boyfriend in the sequel Deadpool 2 since Wade is canonically considered “pansexual” in the comics and I wanted to talk about this when it was first announced but it was such a minor piece of news that I didn’t really bother covering it.  However, a few hours ago Greg Weisman, co-creator of Young Justice, recently stated that there are LGBT characters in Young Justice and it’s possible they may come out in season 3.  So with two announcements of possibly more LGBT characters in comic book cartoons and movies, I figured I could share my 2 cents on this and maybe next time I can cover something a little less gay lol.

Side note: I’d really appreciate it if you guys would check out the last post I did do since it actually didn’t get as many views as I was hoping for and I really like the project that I’m working on. (more…)

Everything Wrong With: “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe”

deadpool-kills-the-marvel-universeHello interweb, Nate here!  So I don’t like Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.  It’s not nearly as bad as Spider-man: One More Day but it’s still pretty bad in my opinion.  That’s an unpopular opinion, it seems, but I still don’t really care for it.  So since you guys enjoyed my last SuperheroSins I figure I’d try it again!  Next time I’ll try a DC comic.  So let’s begin!

Disclaimer: I do not own Deadpool or this comic.  All rights belong to Marvel Comics

Deadpool “The Never-Ending Struggle” – Review

deadpool-vol-4-20Hello interweb, Nate here!  So when you hear “Deadpool”, does serious issues like suicide come to mind?  I doubt it, and yet that’s exactly what we get in Deadpool #20!  I wanted to highlight this specific issue because I fell in love with it the second I read it and I actually decided to go out and buy a physical copy to own (I read most of my comics online since it’s cheaper). Ranking the 2016 Comic Book movies

2016-comic-book-moviesHello interweb, Nate here!  So today was suppose to be the Top 5 DC Comics of 2016, but I’ve been busy and I’m not fully caught up with all the DC comics I’m reading currently.  Therefore, I decided to do the comic book movies first and instead of a Top 5 list why don’t I just simply rank them?  After all, there were six movies so why not? Top Favorite 5 Marvel Comics of 2016

marvel-logoHello interweb, Nate here!  Last year I tried and failed to do a Christmas series special thingamajig with my 90’cember.  So, why don’t I do something simpler!  I’ll count down the top 5 Comics each company has produced this year as well as all the comic book movies!  So here’s my Top 5 favorite Marvel comics of 2016!

Funny side note: Originally my idea was to have a top 10 best comics with Marvel and DC on a combined list and then a top 10 worst comics of both companies still, but I liked almost everything being published right now so pretty much the only bad comics I could think of is Civil War II and New Avengers because I didn’t like either of those titles. Even the comics I read that I thought weren’t amazing still wasn’t that bad, just okay.

Deadpool – Review

deadpool-posterHello interweb, Nate here!  So I FINALLY got to see Deadpool that hit theaters all the way back in February.  Why did it take so long?  Who cares!  The point is I finally saw one of my favorite comic book characters on the big screen and I’m finally going to check out his awesome film.  Now in case you haven’t seen the movie yet I should give the SPOILER WARNING even though there’s really nothing to spoil.  With that, shall we begin?
