Hello interweb, Nate here! Yeesh, first my last post and now this. This blog is getting too gay! All jokes aside, quite recently Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds suggested that he would be hopeful for Deadpool to get a boyfriend in the sequel Deadpool 2 since Wade is canonically considered “pansexual” in the comics and I wanted to talk about this when it was first announced but it was such a minor piece of news that I didn’t really bother covering it. However, a few hours ago Greg Weisman, co-creator of Young Justice, recently stated that there are LGBT characters in Young Justice and it’s possible they may come out in season 3. So with two announcements of possibly more LGBT characters in comic book cartoons and movies, I figured I could share my 2 cents on this and maybe next time I can cover something a little less gay lol.
Side note: I’d really appreciate it if you guys would check out the last post I did do since it actually didn’t get as many views as I was hoping for and I really like the project that I’m working on. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So big news just hit! Warner Bros Animation just announced a confirmation that season 3 of Young Justice is in the works! Honestly, when I first saw the news on Facebook I didn’t believe it since the series was canceled roughly 3 years ago and it looked like hopes for a revival was gone. Even after both seasons were released to Netflix I really didn’t think the show had a chance. However, with a combination of Netflix views and fan protests, we finally got a 3rd season! I’m just super excited that this is actually happening and I can’t wait to see where they’re going to go since the second season ended on a tease of Darkseid and they just ended the Blue Beetle arc so the possibilities are out there. So that’s really all I have to say about this, no need to drag this on more than I can. So with that, have an awesome day and vote for [insert random presidential nominee here] for president 2016!
Hello interweb, Nate here. So with convergence on its way, I started to think about the last reboot (which happened only 5 years ago), the New 52, and I remembered that while I never really hated the reboot and also never really loved it either, there were several things it did that ticked me off. So I decided to compile a list of some characters the New 52 tried to modernize and failed to do so (unless “modernize” is synonymous with “over complicate and insulting” then yeah they succeeded, but that’s obviously not good). While a few of these may be nitpicks, most of these I honestly feel the New 52 just ruined a few characters.
Hello interweb, Nate here. Okay, to put it short and simple, I’m a 15-year old guy who enjoys the superhero genre not for the romance but for the action and adventure. With that said, there has been a few couples that I have liked over the years and since this is the season of love I figured I should make a list about them. So whether or not the mention of romance makes you go “Aww!” or “Ew!” this is My Top 10 Favorite Couples.
Hello interweb, Nate here. Last May, I created my Top 5 Favorite Comic-Based Cartoons as one of my first top 5 list. Since I have seen many more cartoons since then, I thought I’d go back to that list and update it with more cartoons. Now not only will I add cartoons to the list, but it is possible that the cartoons that remains from my previous list may be in a different order based on new experiences with the cartoons and/or different views than what I saw earlier. Also, we all have different experiences with the cartoons of some of our favorite comic book heroes, so my list may be different than yours due to different nostalgia and tastes so don’t hate me too much your favorite cartoon didn’t make it onto the list. Now with that said and done. let’s get to the list!
Hello interweb, Nate here. So as of lately I guess it’s kind of obvious that I have been busy as I haven’t posted last Monday nor this past Saturday. However, I did get the Tim Drake Character Bio finished and ready for ya’ll to enjoy. So first we did the first Robin: Dick Grayson, then the second Robin: Jason Todd, now it’s time for the third Robin to get some love.
Also, I’ll try to get Damian Wayne’s bio done soon (the fourth male Robin). Since I have already promised a reader that I’ll get an Ant-man bio up (he or she probably requested it for the upcoming Ant-man movie), I’ll probably get to Stephanie Brown later on and maybe Carrie Kelley (she was a Robin in the non-cannon graphic novel Dark Knight Returns) if you guys want (comment below). But the biggest post this month is going to be a Halloween themed post: The Top 10 Most Disturbing Marvel and DC Characters. I already came up with a few, but I want you guys to either comment below or on my Facebook fan-page on some characters that you find disturbing. The rules are basically as long as the character belongs to DC or Marvel, it qualifies (which mean it can be a superhero or villain, although I’ll bet most, if not all, of them will be villains). Hello interweb, Nate here. Sorry about the post I did the other day where I just found some YouTube clips and tossed them on here without making my own content (stuff like that will usually be shared on my Facebook page, check it out here). My finals are on the 19th so I’ve been busy getting ready for those. If you keep up with my Facebook page than you might have read that I have been working on three posts: Top 5 Favorite Comic-Based Cartoons (the one you are currently reading), a Spider-man character bio, and a Batman Beyond review with a new format (in that order), but before I do the later 2, I’m going to be working on a Top 10 Female Superhero list in honor of Mothers day. Don’t worry guys, I’ll do a males only list for fathers day. Although it’ll probably be harder or easier (depending on how you look at it) as there are noticeably more male superheroes than female superheroes.(more…)
