Hello interweb, Nate here! So I claim to be such a huge X-Men fan and yet I’ve only seen X-Men: Days of Future’s Past and X-Men: Apocalypse, and I believe I’ve only reviewed the later on here. (I would give it a quick review but that movie was so forgettable I’d have to rewatch it first.) Hopefully, I’ll be able to watch and review X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: First Class sooner than later but I don’t know when that’ll be so no promises. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the review! Also, not sure whether this is necessary for a 17 year old movie, but SPOILER WARNING just to be on the safe side.

Top Favorite 5 Marvel Comics of 2016
Hello interweb, Nate here! Last year I tried and failed to do a Christmas series special thingamajig with my 90’cember. So, why don’t I do something simpler! I’ll count down the top 5 Comics each company has produced this year as well as all the comic book movies! So here’s my Top 5 favorite Marvel comics of 2016!
Funny side note: Originally my idea was to have a top 10 best comics with Marvel and DC on a combined list and then a top 10 worst comics of both companies still, but I liked almost everything being published right now so pretty much the only bad comics I could think of is Civil War II and New Avengers because I didn’t like either of those titles. Even the comics I read that I thought weren’t amazing still wasn’t that bad, just okay.
X-Men: Apocalypse – Review
Hello interweb, Nate here. Why does the X-Men, (un)arguably the greatest superhero team to ever hit comics, get such terrible movies? Now I really didn’t want to make this review but in the end I’ve been reviewing these movies sense Ant-Man (excluding Deadpool since I can’t watch it yet and I haven’t seen Batman V Superman yet) so let’s just get this over with. Also just in case you care: spoiler warning. (more…)
X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Review and Explained
Warning: All of what I’m about to say may very well be me speculating and theorizing. So if I say something that contradicts something that is revealed later than that is why. Also just to be on the safe side I’m just going to say there are possible spoilers below but I highly doubt there’s anything that will ruin the movie if I mention it.
Hello interweb, Nate here. So sorry about how late this trailer review and explain is but I’ve been drowning in post-Christmas break homework assignments. Before I begin this, I should briefly comment about 90’cember since I did promise four posts from it and I failed terribly to deliver. I feel like at this point I might as well just not worry about it and continue on but I did decide to do a Comixplanation on the Death of Superman storyline. Not sure when I’ll do it since I also need to get my Ant-man review up and there are a couple of other posts I have yet to reveal that I really want to make but I’ll definitely make sure to do Death of Superman since that post seemed to be the most anticipate of the four. With all that said, time to crack this nut open and see what we find (did that make any sense?). (more…)
X-Men: Battle of the Atom – Review
Hello interweb, Nate here. So despite my love for the X-Men, I have to admit that I’ve fallen behind on the team. Now All-New, All-Different Marvel is starting up again with new X-Men titles but I’ve heard good things and bad things about Brian Michael Bendis’s Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men titles from “Marvel Now!” so I thought I’d go back and read those two titles before jumping on the current ones. So while binge-reading (is that a thing?) these two X-Men comics, I finally got around to reading the 2013 mega crossover event: X-Men: Battle of the Atom. This 10-issue story crossed over every X-Men title that was going on at the time so if you love the X-Men as much as I do than it is definitly a must read. But I’ve stalled long enough, so let’s get to the review! Also, spoiler warning. (more…)
Top 5 Superhero Cartoons that Got Cancelled Too Soon
Hello interweb, Nate here. So we’ve all had that feeling when our favorite cartoon was cancelled for stupid reasons. Some cartoons are understandable, other cartoons were just so good that it blows my mind why it got such a short run (Invader Zim anyone?). Now this isn’t a list of cartoons that got a good run that I just would’ve liked to continue (like Teen Titans), this is a list of really good cartoons that only got 1 or 2 seasons and possibly ended on a cliffhanger (which is the worst!).
My Opinion on All-New X-Men #40
Hello interweb, Nate here. Alright, so I’m pretty behind on the current X-Men titles (I talk more about that below) but on Facebook I noticed something rather interesting: Iceman’s gay! As you can see from the images below (click to enlarge and zoom), in All-New X-Men #40 Iceman, aka Bobby Drake, comes out of the closet. (more…)
Valentine’s Day Special – Top 10 Favorite Couples
Hello interweb, Nate here. Okay, to put it short and simple, I’m a 15-year old guy who enjoys the superhero genre not for the romance but for the action and adventure. With that said, there has been a few couples that I have liked over the years and since this is the season of love I figured I should make a list about them. So whether or not the mention of romance makes you go “Aww!” or “Ew!” this is My Top 10 Favorite Couples.
