What is a Superhero?

Announcements

Hello interweb, Nate here.  What is a superhero?  No, this is not a trick question.  A few weeks ago, someone asked me if Mario was a superhero.  At first, I was going to say no, but what does Mario do that’s different than Batman?  They both have villains (goombas, koopas, and Bowser for Mario and countless others for Batman), they both protect people, and neither of them have superpowers (if we’re excluding Mario’s power ups). Father’s Day Special – Top 10 Male Superheroes

Announcements

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So the ladies got there top 10 list on Mothers Day (check that list here), now its our turn.  I have to admit, this list was pretty hard.  There are a significantly larger amount of male superheroes, so if your favorite didn’t make the list, I apologize.  This is my personal opinion and you have full rights to disagree.  So with that, lets get started; side note: there are lots of guy supers out there, so give me a little grace if there’s a guy I forgot that should have gotten on the list.

Check out my other Top 10s (or 5s) here. (more…)

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So one of the blogs I am currently following did a post about their ideal X-men Team.  The Blog is called Kevin Reviews Uncanny X-Men, and he does exactly that.  Being a huge X-Men fan myself, I really enjoy reading his reviews and finds them interesting.  Recently he did his own ideal X-Men team, following the traditional 6-members formula.  By what I could tell he chose a member to be: the leader (for him it was Cyclops), the Muscle (Wolverine), the genius/brains (Shadowcat), the telepath (Emma Frost), the teleporter (Magik), and the elemental (Iceman).  I’ll use this same formula, to make my own X-Men team, and FYI only two of them are going to be shared with his team as I fully agree with his decision on the two.  If you want to see his team, check it out here. My Next Cartoon Review

Announcements

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So I promised a review of Batman Beyond a while ago, didn’t finish it, and just kind of decided to cancel it.  But then I thought “what should my next review be?”.  So today, you guys will decide.  I have a poll below of some cartoons I am willing to review, and you guys can decide on which one you like me to review the most.  Keep in mind that I can’t review what I haven’t seen, so things like Batman: TAS will be one of those cartoons I can’t review.  You do not need a wordpress account to vote, you just need to click one of the cartoons and hit submit (I believe, this is the first time I’ve done a poll).  Please only choose one cartoon, and some cartoons might need to be split into two-parters (such as Teen Titans) due to how long the cartoon is.  The votes are due June 14th.  I’ll still have a post up Friday, so check it out then.  If there is a cartoon you’d like me to review, then comment below or on my Facebook page, it does not have to be by DC or Marvel, it just has to be classified under the “Superhero Genre”.  If your not sure if a cartoon is under that genre, then just go to Wikipedia too see.  See you all Friday, Peace 😄 (more…)
