Hello interweb, Nate here! So I claim to be such a huge X-Men fan and yet I’ve only seen X-Men: Days of Future’s Past and X-Men: Apocalypse, and I believe I’ve only reviewed the later on here. (I would give it a quick review but that movie was so forgettable I’d have to rewatch it first.) Hopefully, I’ll be able to watch and review X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: First Class sooner than later but I don’t know when that’ll be so no promises. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the review! Also, not sure whether this is necessary for a 17 year old movie, but SPOILER WARNING just to be on the safe side. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So I don’t like Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. It’s not nearly as bad as Spider-man: One More Day but it’s still pretty bad in my opinion. That’s an unpopular opinion, it seems, but I still don’t really care for it. So since you guys enjoyed my last SuperheroSins I figure I’d try it again! Next time I’ll try a DC comic. So let’s begin!
Disclaimer: I do not own Deadpool or this comic. All rights belong to Marvel Comics
Hello interweb, Nate here. So I haven’t posted anything in a while and that’s mainly because of how busy I’ve been lately. I was originally going to review the newest Suicide Squad and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailers, and I will later this week, but I ultimately decided to do a SuperheroSins episode for my favorite episode of my favorite comic book based cartoon. I should also mention that this episode is the third episode of season three so if you are watching the series and you don’t want to be spoiled than I’d suggest not reading the rest of this post. Now just to give a general background to this episode: mutants have been broadcast worldwide so everyone now know they exist, people are afraid of them, and now they’re dealing with the prejudice and bigotry that you’d expect from an X-Men story.
Now this episode is my favorite mainly because it’s just such a deep episode for a children’s cartoon and it ultimately shows why I love the X-Men as a whole. I would elaborate but I feel like I should just let the episode speak for itself and my commentary as I review it below. Now the previous X-Men: Evolution episodes I commented on where found on Marvel’s official YouTube channel but they have recently taken them down so I had to find this episode from a different channel. Now this set up is a little odd as the video I found was about 30 min long but the episode just restarts half way through; so you don’t need to see the whole video. With that said, let’s get started! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So despite my love for the X-Men, I have to admit that I’ve fallen behind on the team. Now All-New, All-Different Marvel is starting up again with new X-Men titles but I’ve heard good things and bad things about Brian Michael Bendis’s Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men titles from “Marvel Now!” so I thought I’d go back and read those two titles before jumping on the current ones. So while binge-reading (is that a thing?) these two X-Men comics, I finally got around to reading the 2013 mega crossover event: X-Men: Battle of the Atom. This 10-issue story crossed over every X-Men title that was going on at the time so if you love the X-Men as much as I do than it is definitly a must read. But I’ve stalled long enough, so let’s get to the review! Also, spoiler warning. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. Sorry that this did not go up Monday but I guess I needed more time to finish this list than expected and thus I started making this later than I should’ve. Now I am officially out of school for the summer and since this is my first post for summer of 2015 I figured I should start out with a bang! So, how about I do my favorite X-Men? If you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time, you would know that I absolutely love the X-Men. I love the X-Men more then the Justice League, Avengers, or even the Teen Titans. Now if you’ve read my Top 10 Favorite Superheroes list than you already know the top 4 already, however what about the other 6? Plus if you haven’t read that post yet than you probably don’t know my top 4. Either way, here they are!
Hello interweb, Nate here. Okay, to put it short and simple, I’m a 15-year old guy who enjoys the superhero genre not for the romance but for the action and adventure. With that said, there has been a few couples that I have liked over the years and since this is the season of love I figured I should make a list about them. So whether or not the mention of romance makes you go “Aww!” or “Ew!” this is My Top 10 Favorite Couples.
Merry Christmas interweb, Nate here. And I am full of cheer. As this is Christmas week, and a Christmas themed post is what I seek. So I have found for you five Christmas specials, not two. From superhero cartoons you see, and reading this post has no fee. And while my rhymes might be bad, you have to admit that my effort is pretty rad. This was done first by CinemaSins‘s video titled Everything Wrong With How The Grinch Stole Christmas – Again – With Nostalgia Critic , and I thought this was cool for Christmas, I had to admit it. And while I know it’s because it was based off a book Dr. Seuss has done, does that really mean I can’t join in on the fun? So I have held back my Civil War Review, again, to do this Christmas post that’ll be read by few. So grab your egg nog and snuggle up with your dog, this is the top 5 superhero Christmas episodes! Try not to get cold.
Hello interweb, Nate here. So last month I posted my third installment of SuperheroSins and added a poll asking if I should continue. It was 1 vote each (someone commented and told me he/she clicked the wrong button) and someone on Facebook said that she liked it. So here’s the 4th installment. Now these SuperheroSins aren’t going to be like most of my posts I do (Top 10s/5s, Character Bios, etc.) as I’ll do these either when I have some time in the middle of the week to throw one together or if I have no time to make one of my more formal posts (and by “formal” I mean ones that I actually put effort in).
Also, I’m leaving for a week long vacation to Cancun, Mexico, so I won’t be here to make a post on December 1st. However, I can make a post a head of time and schedule it for December 1st so it posts automatically (this does mean that my Facebook followers will have to come and check it out as I won’t make a Facebook link for said post). So you guys can comment below or on my Facebook page for a Top 10 suggestion and I’ll pick my favorite suggestion and make that the post for December 1st. Bring me your suggestions before Tuesday and it will be scheduled to post while I’m away. But be aware that I won’t be able to access the internet very often while in Mexico so I may not reply to comments quickly while I’m gone. Any questions or comment can be sent either by commenting below, on Facebook, or by emailing me at email@example.com. With that said and done, on to the sins! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So I said in an earlier post that I would give my SuperheroSins series the Axe because I said that it wasn’t popular enough. But I guess I just didn’t wait long enough because the last two where actually quite well received by you guys. So I’m giving this series another shot and I created a poll below so you guys can decide whether I continue doing this or not. These posts are really easy and aren’t hard to do (I literally just watch an episode and then find all the nitpicks in them). So with that said, let’s give this another chance. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So I just hit 30 followers so while it might not be that impressive, it is a milestone I never reached with my previous blog. So today I have two posts planned for you guys: My Top 10 Favorite Marvel Superheroes and My Top 10 Favorite DC Superheroes. So let’s not waist anymore time and get to the list! (Oh, and FYI, their since I’m a huge X-Men fan I might have a lot of mutants on here, just pointing that out.) (more…)
