Hello interweb, Nate here. So since this is the last Friday before Non-Comic Month, I figured I should review the recently released: Spider-Gwen #1. Now because this takes place right after Spider-Verse, I decided to also review Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman’s debut comic: Edge of Spider-Verse #2. If you haven’t yet, I would highly suggest reading that review before this review. Also both of these are spoiler reviews so of you haven’t read the comic and is planning to then I would suggest that you stop reading. But if you have read the comic or your not planning on reading it then sit back and enjoy the review. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So since this is the last Friday before Non-Comic Month starts I decided I wanted to review the recently released Spider-Gwen #1 (see that review here), but I know that some of you guys probably haven’t read Edge of Spider-Verse #2 which is the first comic to introduce the Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman character and if I would review Spider-Gwen #1 without reviewing Edge of Spider-Verse #2 then you guys would probably be lost. No just as an FYI, I haven’t actually bought these comics (even though I probably will next time I go to my local comic store) and I actually read them free on YouTube thanks to the channel House of RM. You can check out the channel here, you can read Edge of Spider-verse #2 here, and you can read Spider-Gwen #1 here, all for free. So I’m posting both reviews today for your enjoyment. Now let the review begin! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So when I created this blog my original intention was to focus on superheroes in general and not strictly to Marvel or DC which is what this blog sorta turned into. I did post my Top 5 Favorite Original Superhero Cartoons a while back but that’s basically all I did on the subject. So to explore superheroes that do not fall under the Marvel or DC title, I’m giving myself all of March to not do any posts that revolves around Marvel or DC Comics. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. Sorry I didn’t post yesterday but as I promised on my Facebook page (which you should really follow as I do post updates and share recent news every once in while up there) I am posting this today. So anyways, Marvel and DC has a bunch of movies that have been announced so a while ago I posted the ten that I’m most excited for. Now, here’s 10 movies that I would like them to try and make. Just for clarity, I personally believe there are two reasons for making live-action superhero movies: 1. to bring these characters that we’ve only seen in drawings and possibly cartoons come to life, and 2. to introduce new people to the characters and possibly get them curious enough to pick up one of their comic books. So these suggestions are going to be towards both or one of those categories.
Also, I said in a recent post that I would try and get at least one Character Bio out every month but the X-23 Character Bio I’m working on still needs some fine tuning. I’m almost done with it, but it’s just so incredibly long that I doubt anybody would want to read the whole thing so I’m trying to shorten it down some without losing any important information.
Hello interweb, Nate here. So I originally had nothing planned today but a friend of mine (who knows I dislike this character) sent me a link to a post where this guy is explaining why Wolverine is apparently the best Superhero ever (according to him, even better than Batman). I’m not going to send you guys a link to the post as I don’t want to make this a response to his post (even though you can argue that it technically is) but I have said several times that I don’t like Wolverine and you guys as well as some of my friends has asked me why I don’t like wolverine, and I always say “I don’t know, I just don’t” as I know that Wolverine is some of your guys’ favorite superhero and I don’t want anyone getting mad at me for bashing on their favorite superhero. So tell you guys what, if I explain why I dislike Wolverine, then you guys don’t get too angry at me. You can criticize my reasons all you want in the comments below, and if you don’t want to hear me bash this guy than you can simply not read this post. So with all that said, here’s what’s bound to be my most controversial post yet
Hello interweb, Nate here. Okay, to put it short and simple, I’m a 15-year old guy who enjoys the superhero genre not for the romance but for the action and adventure. With that said, there has been a few couples that I have liked over the years and since this is the season of love I figured I should make a list about them. So whether or not the mention of romance makes you go “Aww!” or “Ew!” this is My Top 10 Favorite Couples.
Hello interweb, Nate here. So there has been quite a bit of superhero news going on lately and sense I have some extra time I figured I can spend it talking about the recent announcements. So I have three things I want to talk about. The first thing is about Spider-man and how Sony and Marvel/Disney has recently came up with an agreement on the rights (I’ve already somewhat talked about this in a previous post so click here to see what I said before on the matter). The second thing is about Superman and how in New 52 Superman #38 Superman has a brand new power (because he doesn’t have enough already, lol) and a brand new suit. The last thing is just a quick little review to the Fantastic Four teaser trailer. So let’s get started! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So my most popular post with 337 views is my Quicksilver Vs Flash – Character Compare and I haven’t really went back on this series for some reason. So I’m going to try and do a few more of these only I’m changing the rules very very slightly so if you haven’t read QS Vs Flash then go check it out and you can see what the original rules were but the rules for this Character Compare are below. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So this post was admittingly hard to make not because I was feeling uninspired or because I had trouble thinking of the order of this list but because there are other posts I really wanted to make today. So it was between my Top 5 Favorite Spider-man Film (the one your reading now), Top 5 Characters Who Will Benefit From All-New Marvel!, and Top 10 Future Marvel/DC Movie That Should Be Made. While I’ll probably get to the other lists eventually I figured I should do this list because ever sense The Amazing Spider-man 2 it seems that people are constantly comparing the new Spider-man movies with the Raimi trilogy and sense Spider-man came out when I was 3 I basically grew up with the Web-head. So while there’s still only 5 of these things, here are my Top 5 Favorite Spider-man Films.
