Hello interweb, Nate here! So I don’t like Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. It’s not nearly as bad as Spider-man: One More Day but it’s still pretty bad in my opinion. That’s an unpopular opinion, it seems, but I still don’t really care for it. So since you guys enjoyed my last SuperheroSins I figure I’d try it again! Next time I’ll try a DC comic. So let’s begin!
Disclaimer: I do not own Deadpool or this comic. All rights belong to Marvel Comics
Hello interweb, Nate here. So sorry about how 90’cember is going. I thought I’d be able to get the posts out weekly for December but obviously that’s not the case. I will try to get the remaining three 90’cember posts posted but it will end up stretching to January; although I won’t let it get to February. With that aside, 2016 is turning out to be a fantastic year for superhero comic book movies so I thought I’d count down the 5 films I’m most excited for!
Happy Halloween interweb, Nate here. So during my review of Fant4stic I had a poll up for my Halloween Special and between the Top 10 Gothic Superhero Costumes or a Comixplanation on Death in Comics and I think it’s pretty obvious on which one won. This list is pretty simply: it’s my personal favorite Gothic superhero costumes. So basically if it’s mostly black with maybe some white, purple, or blue, than it qualifies. Let’s get the the list!
Hello interweb, Nate here. So this question has been bugging me for quite some time now: what is an antihero? Now based upon my understanding of the term, an antihero is a character who does villainous things for good intentions. The best example is the Punisher who’s main shtick is to go around and kill bad guys. Killing is obviously a villainous trait and most heroes (such as Spider-man, Batman, and Superman [well, when he’s not being directed by Zack Snyder]) refuse to do it, but since he’s doing it to protect the innocent from murderers and thieves he’s not considered a villain; thus he’s an antihero. Many character easily fit this description such as Deadpool, Deathstroke (yes he’s usually shown as a villain but because he’s a mercenary he’s willing to help the good guys if they pay him enough. Which is rare but it has happened before.), Spawn, Catwoman, etc. but there are a few characters that people have described as an antihero that has confused me in the past and that’s what I’m mostly curious about here. Hello interweb, Nate here. Sorry this review is so late but I’m reviewing all 7 issues so this is an unusually long post, on top of that Christmas and New Years held back this review even more, and overall this review just took a lot of time out of my life. I ultimately decided to post this a day early as tomorrow I’m going to do my New Years special (My Top 10 Posts of 2014 based on views).
So with that said, yes I am going to review all 7 issues so this post might be longer than usual. If you’re a fast reader and my posts usually don’t take long for you to read, than maybe this post won’t be too long but just keep that in mind.
Hello interweb, Nate here. So my last actual post was debating on what a superhero is and whether or not you need superpowers to be a superhero (the answer is no, you don’t need superpowers to be a superhero, see why here). So sense I’m not quite finished with my Teen Titans review (almost done, I promise part 1 will be up Monday) I’ll count down my top 10 superheroes with no superpowers. (more…)
