Everything Wrong With: Fans Decide! (My Christmas Present to You!)

Hello interweb, Nate here!  Ever sense I did my Everything Wrong With: “Spider-man: One More Day”, I’ve heard people seem to enjoy my SuperheroSins series.  So since I haven’t been keeping up with this blog due to college and Christmas break is almost up, I figured I’ll whip up one of these as a Christmas special to you guys!  So here I let you guys decide!  Comment below or email me at sablikid626@gmail.com to suggest a graphic novel or storyline you want me to review and I’ll pick my favorite choice to sin!  Any graphic novel is fair game, even if it’s a good one!  Granted, bad stories are more fun to tear apart and make fun of, but good stories can fit the format decently well.  The graphic novel in question must be from Marvel or DC comics and be roughly 4-6 issues long (not doing any giant stories here).  You can request multiple stories if you really want but keep in mind that I’m only picking one.  I’ll mostly determine the one I pick based on how much fun I can have tearing it apart.  Meaning potentially lots of cliches, plot holes, continuity errors, characters acting out of character, etc.  If you’ve read my previous SuperheroSins than you probably already know the deal here.  With that said, peace out and have a happy holidays!

Avengers: Infinity Wars – First Trailer!!!

Hello interweb, Nate here!  Considering that this video already has 14 million views at the time of this writing, you’ve probably already seen this trailer already.  So me telling you that the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer is out would be redundant.  However, it’s still pretty awesome that this thing is out!  Just like my last post, this won’t be a formal Review and Explain segment.  I really wish I had the time to give this trailer the attention it deserves, but college is technically more important that Marvel movies (technically).  So, you get this instead!  I’ll just discuss the highlights here and my thoughts on the trailer as a whole.

The New Mutants First Trailer Dropped and I’m Kinda Confused

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So I have barely touched this blog in a very long time.  Unfortunately, college has been eating away at my time more than high school ever did.  When I do have free time I’m doing other activities instead of writing.  Kind of a shame too.  I’ve been really wanting to get my review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 out, just haven’t found the time to start the damn thing.  However, the first New Mutants trailer dropped last night and being the major X-Men fan I am I wanted to get my thoughts out there.  Usually in trailer reviews I take a trailer and analyze it bit by bit.  Not this time.  I would, but I just don’t have the time to dedicate to a formal Review and Explain segment.  So you’re stuck with this little post. The Amazing Spider-man 2 – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  FINALLY!!!  The last Spider-man movie before I watch Spider-man: Homecoming!  Which turns out might not be this weekend but next weekend since I’m waiting to see it with my uncle (and no his first name isn’t “Ben”).  However, this does let me take a break from the Spidey films so I can actually sit down and finish my Everything Wrong With: “The Dark Knight Returns” Pt. 3.  Anyways, SPOILER WARNING and leggo! The Amazing Spider-man – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  I’m gonna be honest, guys, I’m getting a little bit of Spider-man fatigue here lol.  I mean, this is the 4th Spider-man movie I’ve rewatched over the last couple of days.  But we’re almost done so I’m not gonna stop here!  SPOILER WARNING and leggo! (more…)

Spider-man 3 – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So yeah, finally finished rewatching the Sam Raimi Spider-man trilogy.  You could probably see this coming a mile away but: Spider-man 2 is by far the best film of the series, Spider-man being second, and Spider-man 3 being the most disappointing film of the three.  But is it really as bad as everybody remembers?  SPOILER WARNING and leggo! (more…)

Spider-man 2 – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So right after 2002’s Spider-man, director Sam Raimi began working on it’s sequel: Spider-man 2 (cause this was before superhero movies ditched numbers in exchange for fancy subtitles).  How does it hold up?  Well let’s find out!  Also, I forgot to mention this in the last review (partially because I just assume everybody’s seen these films at least once by now) but SPOILER WARNING just in case.

Spider-man (2002) – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So with Spider-man: Homecoming out in theaters (I’m hoping to see it relatively soon), I decided to have my own little Spider-man marathon and watch all the old Spider-man movies from 2002’s Spider-man to The Amazing Spider-man 2.  Some are amazing, some suck, but I’m watching all of them anyways!  So since I’ve never reviewed any of these movies, I figured why not review each movie as I go?  So that leads us to this review of the first Spider-man film ever made as well as the film that helped bring superhero movies to where they are today!
