Hello interweb, Nate here. So I saw this movie a few weeks ago but just haven’t really found the time to review it until now. So here’s probably the last review of this movie you’ll see on the internet for a while hehe. Anyways, non spoiler thoughts? I think I like this movie better then the first one, but my reasoning is slightly biased as I’ll explain a bit more in this review. If you liked the first film, you’ll love this one. It’s just as funny, has more characters, and has a more interesting story to it. So now that that’s done, leggo! SPOILER WARNINGas per usual. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So, this review took me forever to make. I actually did see this movie opening weekend, but I had my college finals to trudge through so I’ve been busy. Anyhoo, non-spoiler review? This movie is amazing, watch it!!! Now, SPOILER WARNING!!!! Leggo! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. Non-spoiler opinions? Black Panther himself is lame and boring, the villain is f*cking amazing, and Shuri is cute and funny. The story’s pretty interesting and the politics are thought provoking and interesting. This is probably one of the best Marvel movies out there but also kind of a strange one since it feels so detached from the MCU. While there are jokes present, it’s not as comedic as classic MCU and it’s actually more adult than any MCU film I can think of. I recommend it to anyone who wants a slightly more mature Marvel movie with some racial politics in the mix. Kids might be bored for most of the movie with only a few fun bits here and there to entertain them. From this point on, SPOILER WARNING. You have been warned. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So a while back I reviewed the animated movie Batman: The Killing Joke. Now I just got done watching the recent animated movie Batman and Harley Quinn and I was in the process of writing up a review of the film. I made a reference to this review and when I went to link my Batman and Harley Quinn review to this one I realized that this review reverted back into a draft. I’m not quite sure why this is or what happened but I decided to republish it with as few edits as possible. This is, word-for-word, my original review of the animated movie. I guess you could consider this a “Lost episode” if you want. Anyways, this is a spoiler warning review and enjoy! Stay tuned for my review of the Batman and Harley Quinn animated movie! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! Whoa, that was awesome! Spoiler free opinion? Really good movie! Go see it, you’ll enjoy it. Trust me, it’s worth the money to see it on the big screen. From this point on, SPOILER WARNING! Let me say that again, SPOILER WARNING! One more time SPOILER WARNING!!! Trust me, you do NOT want to be spoiled. If you think you’re fine with spoilers, HEY! *Slaps your face* Don’t read this until you see the movie!
Side note: Buckle up! Cause this’ll be a long one! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! FINALLY!!! The last Spider-man movie before I watch Spider-man: Homecoming! Which turns out might not be this weekend but next weekend since I’m waiting to see it with my uncle (and no his first name isn’t “Ben”). However, this does let me take a break from the Spidey films so I can actually sit down and finish my Everything Wrong With: “The Dark Knight Returns” Pt. 3. Anyways, SPOILER WARNING and leggo! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! I’m gonna be honest, guys, I’m getting a little bit of Spider-man fatigue here lol. I mean, this is the 4th Spider-man movie I’ve rewatched over the last couple of days. But we’re almost done so I’m not gonna stop here! SPOILER WARNING and leggo! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So yeah, finally finished rewatching the Sam Raimi Spider-man trilogy. You could probably see this coming a mile away but: Spider-man 2 is by far the best film of the series, Spider-man being second, and Spider-man 3 being the most disappointing film of the three. But is it really as bad as everybody remembers? SPOILER WARNING and leggo! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So right after 2002’s Spider-man, director Sam Raimi began working on it’s sequel: Spider-man 2 (cause this was before superhero movies ditched numbers in exchange for fancy subtitles). How does it hold up? Well let’s find out! Also, I forgot to mention this in the last review (partially because I just assume everybody’s seen these films at least once by now) but SPOILER WARNING just in case. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So with Spider-man: Homecoming out in theaters (I’m hoping to see it relatively soon), I decided to have my own little Spider-man marathon and watch all the old Spider-man movies from 2002’s Spider-man to The Amazing Spider-man 2. Some are amazing, some suck, but I’m watching all of them anyways! So since I’ve never reviewed any of these movies, I figured why not review each movie as I go? So that leads us to this review of the first Spider-man film ever made as well as the film that helped bring superhero movies to where they are today!
