Hello interweb, Nate here! So all of you probably know by now that Kevin Feige made a splash at Comic Con with his Marvel Phase 4 announcements and I, for one, was thrilled at everything they revealed. I’m just gonna go into my general thoughts first before I tackle each individual property in more depth, but before I do that I wanted to discuss some future plans I have for this blog. Soon after this post is published, I will be working on my ranking of every individual Marvel superhero in the MCU from Phases 1-3, so if you’re interested in seeing my thoughts on all of these characters stay tuned for that. After that, I’m going to start reviewing the MCU movies I’ve missed due to my long absence from this blog only back words from when they were released. This means my very next review will be on Avengers: Endgame, then Captain Marvel, Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse (yes, I realize that’s not an MCU property, but I absolutely loved it and wanted to review it anyways), and wrapping up with Ant-Man and the Wasp. So, keep an eye out for those reviews coming soon!
In addition, last year I announced that I was going to do a “Ben 10 Week” where I review each series of the franchise and the movies that comes with it. However, this came soon before I had some personal struggles that killed this blog for a while. I do intend on completing “Ben 10 Week” but the specific details will be revealed as I finalize those reviews. The Ben 10 franchise is a franchise that means a lot to me so I really want to do this justice and do a good job on explaining why the series is so great and deserve more love. With that said, let’s get into what this post is actually about! Marvel: Phase 4! (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So today was suppose to be the Top 5 DC Comics of 2016, but I’ve been busy and I’m not fully caught up with all the DC comics I’m reading currently. Therefore, I decided to do the comic book movies first and instead of a Top 5 list why don’t I just simply rank them? After all, there were six movies so why not? (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! Last year I tried and failed to do a Christmas series special thingamajig with my 90’cember. So, why don’t I do something simpler! I’ll count down the top 5 Comics each company has produced this year as well as all the comic book movies! So here’s my Top 5 favorite Marvel comics of 2016!
Funny side note: Originally my idea was to have a top 10 best comics with Marvel and DC on a combined list and then a top 10 worst comics of both companies still, but I liked almost everything being published right now so pretty much the only bad comics I could think of is Civil War II and New Avengers because I didn’t like either of those titles. Even the comics I read that I thought weren’t amazing still wasn’t that bad, just okay.
Hello interweb, Nate here! So yesterday I went and saw Doctor Strange on opening night and so I get to review it early! So let’s not waste any more time and jump into it! As always SPOILER WARNING for those of you who haven’t seen this film yet which very well might be most of you. (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here! So I’m going to try a SuperheroSins article on an actual comic! One weakness I’ve been noticing about these SuperheroSins is that they primarily rely on YouTube videos for it to work. Meaning if said YouTube video gets taken down for copyright purposes than the video is no longer on the post for people to use as a reference. So I thought I’d try to use an actual comic for a SuperheroSins of mine! Now this is an experimentation as I obviously can’t upload an entire comic book (and to be fair I really shouldn’t have to) but I figured if I read the comic book on my laptop than I can take screen shots of the panels I need and place them when needed. So why did I decide to do a SuperheroSins on this comic instead of a simple review? Simple! I absolutely hate this comic and I feel like a simple review would not do this comic justice in just how bad it is. I’m willing to review bad comics! However I thought a SuperheroSins would be a better format to pick out everything wrong with this comic. So let’s begin!
Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-man. All art and characters are owned by Marvel Comics (more…)
Hello interweb, Nate here. So usually with trailers I take them and I take the frame-by-frame to examine their content and easter eggs and considering the views those posts get I’m assuming you guys are interested in seeing them. Now I got super busy and I neglected to do some recent trailers like the latest trailers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Suicide Squad as well as failing to touch upon the first Doctor Strange trailer. Now I don’t want to do the Ninja Turtles trailer since that movie already hit theaters and the purpose to these types of posts is to see what the movie might be like and make guesses based on the trailer and then watching the movie to see how accurate my guesses are, however if you guys want me to go over the Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange trailers (For Doctor Strange I’ll do both and just do the first trailer first) than let me know in the poll below and I’ll get to those ASAP.
