My Opinion On The End of the Marvel Universe

Hello interweb, Nate here.  No, this is not a “Gotcha!” post, Marvel Comics has recently announced that they are going all Flashpoint and New 52 on us and totally rebooting the multiverse.  I go more in-depth about this reboot below but I just want to tell you guys that my Ant-man Character Bio will be posted on Friday.  Like I said last week, I have the Bio done and was going to post it today but I really wanted to talk about this.  I’m doing it Friday because I don’t want to hold it back anymore so I should post it some time this week.

Also I realized that I’ve been doing the End Polls without actually telling you guys the results of said polls.  So I should probably start.  So last week I asked you guys which Bio you guys want to read first: X-23, Blue Beetle, and Static and with 2 votes X-23 was the winner with Blue Beetle and Static both gaining 1 vote each.  So you guys can expect her Bio to be posted sometime in late February but after that you guys can expect to see Blue Beetle and Static.  These Bios do take more time then most posts to make since I do spend some time researching their histories but I have decided that I’ll try and get at least one Bio out per month as you guys obviously love these types of posts.  With all that said, let’s get to the major news!

My Opinion on The Future of Spider-man Films

Hello interweb, Nate here.  Before I continue I just want to say that my Civil War Review is almost done and will be up  by Monday.  I’m reviewing all 7 issues all at once so it may be a longer review than normal.

With that said, the biggest news going around about superhero films is the controversy over Spider-man’s film rights as recent emails has been leaked about Marvel/Disney studios trying to buy the rights to Spider-man back from Sony and rebooting the Spider-man film franchise and replacing Andrew Garfield (and I’m assuming the rest of the cast).  So what are my thoughts on this? let’s see.

My Opinion on Spider-man and the X-Men

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So recently Marvel has announced that due to Death of Wolverine, Spider-man will take Wolverine’s place as a teacher for the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.  Now I have to admit, I haven’t really been keeping up with Marvel Now!’s X-Men titles.  I haven’t read Wolverine and the X-Men because I was worried it would be less Wolverine and the X-Men and more Wolverine With a Few Cameos From the X-Men (as many of you know I am not a fan of Wolverine), I haven’t read the current run of Uncanny X-Men, and I have only read the first two trade paperback copies of All New X-Men (meaning I have read the first 10 issues) and stopped because nothing was really happening.  Besides those, I haven’t read Battle of the Atom (but I’m planning to), I have read AVX (Avengers Vs X-Men), and I have recently read Death of Wolverine.  So now that you guys no where I am with the X-Men titles, let’s check out the preview to this upcoming title.

Hello interweb, Nate here.  Now your probably looking at that rather long chart and wondering: “Why you haz big chart?”.  Well, this chart of future Marvel and DC movies was made a while ago, and I have been meaning to talk about it but I haven’t had time til just now.  Just to be clear, I’m not going to discuss every movie on this chart as that would probably take an hour to read, but I am going to go over the movies I have a strong opinion towards.  So I’m going to start with Marvel, because frankly DC is really scaring me here, and just talk about some movies that are coming out.

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So I’m a little late to the draw on this but if you keep track of DC’s news, than you’ve known for a while that they are redesigning Batgirl’s costume and taking this character into a new direction.  What is my opinion on all this?  Let’s see.

Thor is a Woman and Falcon is Captain America

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So Marvel has made a few announcements recently but by far the most controversial is having a woman take up the mantle of Thor after he is deemed unworthy and Falcon taking the role as Captain America while Steve Rodgers looses his powers.  So I figured I should just get my opinions out there and have you guys talk about it in the comments below.  As long as people aren’t calling other people stupid or idiots for having a curtain opinion, I’m all for people disagreeing with each other and debating and I actually encourage it.
