Teen Titans: The Judas Contract – Review

Hello interweb, Nate here!  So I just got done watching Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and never have I actually wanted to review a movie as much as this one as soon as it was over.  Now the last DC animated movie was Justice League Dark and I had a review written up for that movie but once the review was done I read through it and realized that I really had nothing to say about it.  I enjoyed the movie, but that was it I just enjoyed the movie.  There was nothing amazing about the movie that stood out to me nor was there anything terrible.  Because of this, I decided not to post that review because it just was a really boring review.  This, however, is a movie that I loved so much by the time it was over that the first thought that came to mind was that I needed to review this film.  This is a spoiler review so SPOILER WARNING but if you really want to know if you should spend your time watching this or not let me just say that this may be the best DC animated movie – no – best DC movie released recently.  The DCEU has been struggling and the animated movies have been ranging from sucking to just decent.  But I’d say that this is probably the best DC movie in recent years.  So no more beating around the bush, let’s get this review started! My Opinion on Deathstroke in Batman

DeathstrokeHello intwerweb, Nate here!  So Ben Affleck recently leaked a teaser revealing Deathstroke’s costume for the upcoming Batman movie and the entire internet lost it.  Now yes it is official that Deathstroke the Terminator is going to be the villain of the the Ben Affleck directed Batman movie.  So what are my thoughts on the situation?  Well it’s pretty simple: since when was Deathstroke a Batman villain?  He’s the Teen Titan’s archenemy! What is an Antihero?

Hello interweb, Nate here.  So this question has been bugging me for quite some time now: what is an antihero?  Now based upon my understanding of the term, an antihero is a character who does villainous things for good intentions.  The best example is the Punisher who’s main shtick is to go around and kill bad guys.  Killing is obviously a villainous trait and most heroes (such as Spider-man, Batman, and Superman [well, when he’s not being directed by Zack Snyder]) refuse to do it, but since he’s doing it to protect the innocent from murderers and thieves he’s not considered a villain; thus he’s an antihero.  Many character easily fit this description such as Deadpool, Deathstroke (yes he’s usually shown as a villain but because he’s a mercenary he’s willing to help the good guys if they pay him enough.  Which is rare but it has happened before.), Spawn, Catwoman, etc. but there are a few characters that people have described as an antihero that has confused me in the past and that’s what I’m mostly curious about here.
